SGF Urges Benue Communities to Support Aiyedatiwa
On Wednesday, November 14, 2024, at City Center Hotel in Akure, Ondo State, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Dr. George Akume (CON), called on Benue communities in Ondo State to support Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the APC candidate, in the gubernatorial election scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Represented by Chief Chris Tarka, his Chief of Staff, the SGF urged Benue residents to demonstrate unity and political participation by voting en masse for Governor Aiyedatiwa. He commended them for being good ambassadors of Benue State and stressed the importance of solidarity in advancing their interests.
Commitment to Benue Communities
Hon. Augustine Agada, Chairman of the APC in Benue State, emphasized the SGF’s commitment to the welfare of Benue communities in Ondo. He assured attendees that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s re-election would enhance ongoing support for their well-being.
In response, Chief Apezan Augustine Tsor, Chairman of the Benue Council of Chiefs in South-West Nigeria, appreciated the SGF’s outreach and pledged the community’s support for the APC. He assured that efforts were underway to mobilize voters in support of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Message
Represented by Hon. Razak Obe, Commissioner for Energy, Governor Aiyedatiwa urged the Benue communities to back his administration, highlighting his government’s commitment to inclusive development. He appealed to them to see their votes as an investment in sustained progress for Ondo State.

The event underscored APC’s strategy to mobilize diverse communities to secure victory. The SGF delegation, which included Hon. Emmanuel Abayaro, Dr. Terver Aginde, Hon. Juliana Obetta, and others, reinforced the party’s focus on inclusivity and representation.
