APPRECIATION MESSAGE
I write with a heart full of gratitude to express my sincere appreciation to God almighty and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for finding me worthy of appointment as the Board Chairman of the National Agricultural Seed Council (NASC). This great honor is not only a personal milestone but a call to greater national service a responsibility I embrace with utmost dedication and preparedness.
I am immensely grateful to my father, leader, and mentor, Senator George Akume, FNIM, KSJi, CON, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (SGF), for his relentless leadership, guidance, and support to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State. I particularly wish to thank him and his dear wife, Mummy Regina Akume (Jp), for graciously granting the use of their official residence as the venue for the reception in honour of my inauguration. Your generosity and parental disposition continue to inspire and guide many of us in public service.
His Excellency the Governor of Nassarawa State, Chairman of the North Central Progressive Governor’s Forum Engr. Abdulahi A Sule, thank you for your distinguished leadership and commitment to party progress and development across the zone.
My sincere commendation goes to the National Chairman of our great party, Alhaji Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, OFR, for his support, Alhaji Ali Kumo, Barr Felix Morka, and other members of the National Working Committee.
I am especially thankful to the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, CON, for presiding over my inauguration ceremony with such warmth and commitment.
To the immediate past Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, thank you for honouring the occasion with your presence and showing solidarity with the state, even after leaving office. Your statesmanship did not go unnoticed.
I also extend heartfelt appreciation to the Director-General of NASC, Honourable Fatuhu Muhammad his led management team, staff, and stakeholders, Since my appointment, your support has been invaluable, and I look forward to our collective work in transforming the seed sector for national development.
I must specially recognize Senator Jack Tilley Gyado, OFR, CON, for representing the SGF with honor and dignity. To the three distinguished Senators and other members of the National Assembly, State Assembly and other federal appointees from Benue State, represented by Dr. Philip Agbese and His Excellency Dr. Mathias Byuan, who stood by me, Rt. Hon. James Faleke, Former Deputy Governor of Nassarawa State, Director General of the National Directorate of Employment HE Silas Ali Agara, Arc. Sunny Echeno-Executive Secretary Tetfund, prof. Engr. Joseph Terlumum Utsev-Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Mzamber Farida Waziri, H.E David Akaahan, Amb. I salute my colleagues fellow Chairmen from other states, the leadership of the Coalition of Registered Political Party in Benue (CRPP), and my traditional father, the Och’Ogbadibo, along with other revered traditional rulers, clergy, party leaders, My led Executives of the APC Benue State, All 23 LGA Party and the 276 Ward Chairmen and their led executives, Council Chairmen elect and their respective vice chairmen, my fellow alumni of FGGC Nise, Rt. Hon. David Idoko, Rt. Hon. Adamu Entonu and other former members of the National Assembly, The central planning committee Chaired by Hon. Fidelis Audu, my wife and Children, Siblings, friends and well-wishers. Your prayers, presence, and support have lifted me, and I do not take it for granted.
Thank you all for celebrating with me when it mattered most. Together, we shall continue to serve our country with integrity, loyalty, and purpose.
