BARRISTER NAPOLEON OTACHE CELEBRATES EASTER WITH AGATU PEOPLE, PREACHES FORGIVENESS, PEACE, AND UNITY AMONG ALL AGATU COMMUNITIES
Sunday, 20th APRIL, 2025
The Executive Chairman-elect of Agatu Local Government Council, Barrister Napoleon Otache, celebrated Easter with the people of Agatu Local Government Area. During the Easter celebration, the Council Chairman-elect preached forgiveness as a foundation for love, peace, and unity.
He reminded the Agatu people that development may elude them until all Agatu communities genuinely forgive one another and embrace peaceful coexistence. He stated that Agatu people were known for love, peace, communal living, and unbroken courage until the evil wind of communal and clannish crises and suspicion recently eroded these good virtues.
The Council Chairman-elect appealed to the Agatu people to retrace their steps and forgive each other, just as God forgives our sins through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is the reason for the Easter celebration. He stressed that, just like Jesus Christ came and died for our sins so that we may have eternal life, Agatu people must imbibe the qualities of Jesus Christ, which are love and forgiveness.
Furthermore, Barrister Napoleon Otache used the opportunity to sympathized with the Agatu farmers who have been brutally hindered and enslaved by Fulani herdsmen who have violently prevented them from engaging in farming activities. He assured them that genuine help is on the way.
The Council Chairman-elect also appealed to the fearless Agatu youths to remain united and expect the total transformation of Agatu lands for the benefit of all Agatu sons and daughters. He encouraged the courageous Agatu youths to shun violence and eschew divisive political manipulation.
Using the Easter celebration as an opportunity, Barrister Napoleon Otache assured the Agatu people that his administration would positively change and transform their lives through robust and sustainable development never witnessed before.
Barrister Napoleon Otache humbly requested fervent prayers and sincere collaboration from all the Agatu people, especially the courageous youths, to enable his administration to succeed to the glory of Almighty God and to the admiration of our ancestors.
Happy Easter, Agatu-Ole!
Signed:
Barrister Napoleon Otache,
Executive Chairman-elect,
