A fresh controversy has rocked Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration following allegations of fraudulent activities linked to a proposed media team.
A letter purportedly authored by Dr. Mkor Aondona Donatus, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Research, Documentation, and Strategy, requested over ₦12 million for the inauguration of a media team.
The team, according to the letter, was designed to counter opposition propaganda, project the administration’s achievements, and prepare for the governor’s 2027 re-election campaign.
The request for funds raised eyebrows as it coincided with growing public dissatisfaction over the administration’s perceived disorganization and lack of coordinated governance.
The controversy deepened after a press release issued by Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, disowned the media team initiative.
