Appoints Aondoakaa as Head of Accounting Department
The Benue State University (BSU), Makurdi, has appointed Dr. Aondoakaa Kwarghfan as the new Head of the Department of Accounting.
Dr. Aondoakaa, a distinguished Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, is widely recognized for his unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and professional integrity.
In a congratulatory message, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Tor Iorapuu, described Dr. Aondoakaa’s career as illustrious and impactful. With years of experience in academia, research, and consultancy, he has made significant contributions to the field. Prior to his current role, Dr. Aondoakaa served as Head of the Department of Accounting at Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, and later rose to the position of University Bursar at BSU.
His academic contributions include delivering lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, authoring numerous books, and publishing over 40 scholarly articles. Holding a PhD in Accountancy, his research interests span sustainability reporting, financial reporting, taxation, cost and management accounting, and forensic accounting.
Dr. Aondoakaa is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and a Member of the Association of Management and Social Sciences Researchers of Nigeria (AMSSRN).
Beyond academia, Dr. Aondoakaa is actively involved in his faith and community. As a devout Catholic, he is a member of the Knights of St. Mulumba (KSM) and serves as the Laity Council Chairman of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Makurdi, and President of the Adaka Deanery Catholic Men Organisation (CMO).
Dr. Aondoakaa’s recent appointment reflects his resilience, integrity, and visionary leadership. Despite past challenges, including attempts by detractors to tarnish his reputation during his tenure as Bursar, his unwavering dedication to morality and professional ethics prevailed. The reversal of his termination underscored his steadfast principles and earned him wide respect within the academic community.
This appointment is a testament to his outstanding contributions and leadership. Under his stewardship, the Department of Accounting is poised to achieve new milestones in academic excellence and innovation.
