Six Nigerian Law School students have been abducted by unidentified gunmen while traveling from Onitsha, Anambra State, to Yola, Adamawa State. The incident reportedly occurred along a major highway notorious for insecurity, leaving families and authorities in panic.

Sources revealed that the students were en route to the Yola campus of the Nigerian Law School when the armed men intercepted their vehicle. The gunmen reportedly whisked the students away to an unknown location.

Security agencies have launched a manhunt to rescue the abducted students. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and legal education authorities have condemned the abduction, urging swift action to ensure the students’ safe return.

The attack underscores growing concerns over the safety of road travel in Nigeria, where kidnappings for ransom have become a recurring menace, especially along interstate routes.

Authorities have appealed for calm and assured the public that efforts are underway to secure the victims’ release without harm.
